HOOSIERS DROP 3-0 MATCH TO NO. 25 MINNESOTA

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Indiana's volleyball team dropped its fourth consecutive match Saturday evening, losing to No. 25 Minnesota 15-13, 15-4, 15-8 at the Sports Pavilion in Minneapolis .
With the loss, the Hoosiers drop to 10-7 overall, 3-5 in Big Ten play while the Golden Gophers improve their record to 15-13 overall, 4-4 in the Big Ten.
The Hoosiers went up 13-9 in game one before a call to give IU a 14-9 lead went in favor of Minnesota, opening the door for a 15-13 comeback by the Gophers.
Indiana managed just a .079 attack percentage to the Gophers .345 and were out served eight aces to just three by the Hoosiers. Junior Jen Magelssen led Indiana offensively with 13 kills.
Nicole Branagh led Minnesota with 11 kills.
"We came out and competed tonight," said Katie Weismiller. "Although the scores may not indicate it, we played much more aggressively and I am definitely encouraged by that."
The Hoosiers will be back in action next week, hosting No. 2 Penn State
and No. 21 Ohio State, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23-24, respectively.
