HOOSIERS WIN INDIANA CLASSIC TITLE
BLOOMINGTON, Indiana (Ticker) -- A.J. Guyton scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half as 11th-ranked Indiana improved to 50-0 all-time in the Indiana Classic with an 81-55 rout of Bowling Green.
The Hoosiers (10-2) have captured this tournament each year since the inaugural event in 1974. This contest was a rematch of the 1995 final, which Indiana won, 78-67.
Luke Recker added 13 points for the Hoosiers, who defeated Boise State by 24 in Friday's first round.
Anthony Stacey and Len Matela each had 13 points for Bowling Green (5-3), which crushed Grambling on Friday, 90-48. Falcons coach Dan Dakich played under Bob Knight and was an assistant at Indiana for 12 seasons. He became the third former assistant to lose to Knight this year, joining Royce Waltman of Indiana State and Murry Bartow of Alabama-Birmingham.
