FLORIDA SPEEDSTER SIGNS FOOTBALL LETTER-OF-INTENT
Bloomington, Ind. - One of the fastest high school football players in the country signed a letter-of-intent today to attend Indiana University this fall. Maurice Tucker, a 5-11, 185-pound defensive back from Bartow, Fla., was electronically times at 4.25 seconds in the 40-yard dash at a recent Reebok Combine. A state finalist in the 200 meters as a junior, Tucker was an all-area selection as a running back this past season for an 8-3 Bartow club.
Tucker selected Indiana after visiting Mississippi, Kansas and Maryland. He is a former high school teammate of Indiana freshman wide receiver Marcus Floyd. Tucker's football coach at Bartow was Kevin Wells.
