FOUR HOOSIERS QUALIFY FOR NCAAS
What's happening: The Indiana track & field team will continue the 1998 Indoor season as four athletes will be competing in Indianapolis, Ind. at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Representing the Hoosiers at the RCA Dome will be seniors Ty Yeager and Nathalie Belfort in addition to sophomore Kurt Krick and freshman Jennifer Brown. Yeager will be competing in the 55m hurdles. His mark of :07.24 ranks him 10th out of 15 entering the weekend's championship. Belfort is ranked 13th out of 19 in the high jump with a mark of 1.80m. Krick enters the championship ranked 12th out of 15 with a mark of 18.67m in the shot put. Jennifer Brown is ranked 16th out of 18 in the shot put with a mark of 15.70m.

Men's Shot Put Finals Friday, March 13 6:00 p.m. Men's 55m hurdles Prelims Friday, March 13 3:45 p.m. Finals Friday, March 13 7:50 p.m. Women's High Jump Finals Saturday, March 145:30 p.m. Women's Shot Put Finals Saturday, March 146:15 p.m.
The week in review: The Hoosiers competed in their final indoor meet of the season last Friday, March 6th, as they hosted in the USAT&F Indoor Championship. Several Hoosiers turned in season best performances in their last indoor competition of the season. Sophomore Russell Brooks turned in an impressive mark in the 200m dash of :21.53, just .08 off of the NCAA provisional standard. On the women's side, Hilary Bruening turned in a season best time of 2:10.99 in the 800m run missing the NCAA provisional by 0.49 seconds.
