HOOSIERS FINISH IN SIXTH PLACE AT CLAREMONT INVITE
Claremont, Cal.- The Indiana Hoosiers women's water polo team closed out the Claremont Invitational suffering a 5-4 defeat at the hands of Princeton University. With this victory, the Wildcats avenged an 11-5 defeat they suffered at the hands of the Hoosiers at the Princeton Invitational on February 28th. Indiana closed out the Claremont Invitational with a 3-2 record to finish in sixth place. The Hoosiers current record is now 10-3-1.
Leading the Hoosiers was sophomore Kara Fellerhoff with a goal and five steals. Sophomore Deb Simone, freshman Meredith Cravens, and graduate student Amy Pankoke each chipped in with one goal a piece. Senior goalie Kate Toole was solid defensively with nine saves.
The IU women's water polo team has the upcoming week off to prepare for
the Redskin Invitational in Oxford, Ohio. The Redskin Invite is a two day
affair scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 4th, and Sunday, April
5th. Competition will run throughout the course of the day.
