Hoosiers Defeat Ohio

Bloomington, Ind.  Freshman pitcher Jennifer Kniptash pitched a complete game to lead the Hoosiers to a 3-0 victory over Ohio Monday. The victory puts the Hoosiers record at 6-11-1.

Kniptash allowed just 6 hits and improved her record to 3-6. Khara Good went 3-3 and had 3 RBI and a stolen base.

The teams were orginally going to play a doubleheader but the second game was cancelled due to darkness and poor weather condidtions.

"I'm just so happy that we finally got to play," head coach Diane Stephenson said. "The kids needed to play and needed to get this win to boost their confidence. We've had a tough schedule early on and this is a great momentum booster heading into the start of Big Ten play this weekend."
