INDIANA FALLS TO PURDUE
Jacobson the Lone Winner
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Indiana men's tennis team struggled in a 6-1 defeat at the hands of the Purdue Boilermakers. Purdue upped its mark to 8-7 overall and 3-1 in the Big Ten while the Hoosiers drop to 7-9 overall and 2-4 in the conference.
Indiana's lone victory came at number six singles where freshman Paul Jacobson defeated Tushaar Gautam 1-6, 6-4, 7-6. The victory moves Jacobson to 12-6 overall, 3-0 in dual competition, and 1-1 in the Big Ten.
The Hoosiers will have a chance to redeem themselves as they travel to Champaign, Illinois, tomorrow to face the Illini.
