Michigan State wins first in series

East Lansing, Mich. -- Indiana gave up seven runs in the bottom of the sixth and watched an early 4-1 lead disappear in an 8-4 loss to Michigan State.

Indiana's Kyle Boyd gave up two singles, two doubles, a triple and a three-run home run in the inning.

Benji Clause provided a good measure of the Hoosier offense going 3-4 with a stolen base, No other IU player had more than one hit, although Roger Rodeheaver hit his sixth home run of the season.
