HOOSIERS DEFEAT WISCONSIN IN MIDWEST REGIONAL OPENER
Bloomington, Ind.- The Indiana women's water polo team started the Midwest Regional with a bang as they defeated Wisconsin 14-3 in their first game of the championship tournament. With this victory, the Hoosiers improve to 21-5-1 on the season.
Freshman Kristin Carpenter led the Hoosiers with four goals and two steals. Freshman Sheri Fagley added two goals, two assists, and two steals, while the Hoosiers leading scorer, sophomore Deb Simone another two goals and two assists. Sophomore Megan Morgan also scored two goals in addition to swiping two steals.
The Hoosiers continue play in the Midwest Regional on Saturday, April
18th. The Hoosiers take on Northwestern at 11:00 a.m. followed by Michigan
State at 6:00 p.m. The final round of the Midwest Regional is set for Sunday,
April 19th.
