HOOSIERS CRUSH ILLINI IN WOMEN'S TENNIS
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's tennis team served up a solid 6-1 victory over Illinois today in preparation for their match-up with instate rival Purdue tomorrow. The Hoosiers ran their record to 11-8 overall and 5-3 in the Big Ten.
Indiana's only defeat was at No. 1 singles where Correne Stout fell to Illinois' Simone Kung, 6-3, 6-1. Stout is now 21-9 overall and 4-4 in conference play.
The rest of the match, however, went just as the Hoosiers had hoped.
