HOOSIERS SUFFER TOUGH LOSS TO THE IRISH
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana men's tennis team knew it would be a difficult match with highly touted Notre Dame, but noone could have predicted how difficult it actually was. Indiana fell to the Irish 7-0 and only took one singles match passed two sets. The Hoosiers are now 8-11 overall.
IU's sole victory came at No. 1 doubles where Derek Pope and Gabe Montilla defeated Jakub Pietrowski and Brian Patterson 9-7. However, the Hoosiers fell at the other two doubles slots and the point went to Notre Dame.
Indiana will next travel to Iowa next Saturday, April 25, and Minnesota next Sunday, April 26, to close out the regular season.
