PRESEASON WNIT RELEASE

FORT COLLINS, COLORADO - The Women's Collegiate Sports Association (WCSA) has announced the 16-team field for the 1998 Preseason National Invitation Tournament starting November 13 and ending November 20.
Two NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 participants Florida and Rutgers along with NCAA Tournament teams; Colorado State, Oregon, St. Francis PA, and Southwest Missouri State; headline this fall's tournament field. The field also includes Postseason Women's National Invitational Tournament Runner-up, Baylor; Semifinalist, Indiana and five other WNIT participants form this past season.
This year's tournament begins with first round games on Friday and Saturday, November 13 and 14 at campus sites of participating schools. Round 2 games will be held on November 15 and 16 with the semifinals and finals occurring on November 19 and 20.
The schools participating in the 1998 Preseason WNIT include the following:

The tournament is a 16-team, single elimination tournament for NCAA Division I schools, annually showcasing some of the top women's college basketball programs in the nation. Triple Crown Sports, a sports marketing company based in Fort Collins, CO, manages the event for the WCSA.

Northeast Louisiana at Baylor
