IU GRADUATE ASSISTANT NAMED TO REDSKINS' TRAINING CAMP STAFF
Bloomington, Ind. -- Ty Knott, a graduate assistant in the Indiana University football weight room where he works for strength and conditioning coach Matt Bomba, has been awarded with a prestigious NFL Minority Coaches Fellowship by the Washington Redskins. Knott will work with the Redskins wide receivers during their training camp which will be held at Frostburg, Maryland, this summer.
Knott, 32, is a graduate of Southern Oregon State. He played strong safety at Oregon Tech from 1988-89 and the NAIA school made the national semifinals in 1988 under head coach, and current Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator, Greg McMackin.
Knott is currently working on a master's degree at Indiana.
