Bloomington, Ind. -- Indiana University head football coach Cam Cameron today announced that he has placed the following seven players on scholarship for the 1998-99 school year.
The seven are as follows:
-
Junior linebacker Pat Kraft; Libertyville, Illinois
Junior whip Vince Lidy; Newburgh, Indiana
Junior wide receiver Terry Kramer; Tell City, Indiana
Junior linebacker Jerry Dotson; Monrovia, Indiana
Sophomore guard Patrick Mallory; Greenfield, Indiana
Redshirt freshman fullback Andrew Kaiser; St. Louis, Missouri
Redshirt freshman tackle Garon Oseff; West Bloomfield, Michigan
"Walk-ons are, and will continue to be, a very important element of the Indiana University football program," said head coach Cam Cameron. "Here are seven guys, based on ability and seniority in the program, that have worked extremely hard to put themselves in a position to help this football program. Because of that type of effort they will receive scholarship money for the 1998-99 school year.
"Chris Gall, a senior co-captain, is another former walk-on who is currently on scholarship. Chris just comes in day after day and does exactly what you tell him to do. Then he goes and does even more of the same on his own. That's why he's made himself into one of the better fullbacks in the Big Ten Conference."
