HOOSIERS DROP A PAIR OF BIG TEN ROAD GAMES
The Indiana women's team lost a pair of road games over the weekend at Purdue and Penn State. On Friday in West Lafayette, Indiana lost to No. 3 Penn State 97-62. At Penn State on Sunday, the Hoosiers fell 95-48.
Against the Boilermakers, Jill Chapman was IU's top scorer and rebounder with 18 points and eight boards while Kay Morgan added 11 points and six assists. The Hoosiers shot only 21.4 percent from behind the arc (3-14) and committed 21 turnovers.
At Penn State, the Hoosiers struggled again as they turned the ball over 27 times. Cindy Kerns provided a bright spot with her eighth double-double of the season. The senior had 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The Hoosiers return home on Friday night and look to avenge last Friday's lost against Purdue. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. and the game will be televised on WTIU.
