HOOSIERS LOSE TO NO. 25 OHIO STATE
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Indiana's volleyball team dropped a four-game match on the road to No. 25 Ohio State 2-15, 9-15, 15-6, 4-15 Friday evening at St. John Arena.
The Hoosiers (10-2 overall, 1-2 Big Ten) struggled offensively against the Buckeyes (7-3 overall, 1-2 Big Ten), posting an .098 attack percentage to Ohio State's .285. OSU tallied 62 kills to Indiana's 47 as the Hoosiers recorded negative hitting percentages in two of the four games.
Ryann Connors was the only Hoosier to collect double figures in kills with 16. Teammate Amanda Welter added nine kills.
"It was an ugly match for the Hoosiers tonight," said Katie Weismiller. "We struggled offensively and our hitting errors really hurt us. Ohio State, though had a very good night offensively and that was the difference in the match."
The Hoosiers will be back in action tomorrow evening (Saturday) playing
No. 2 Penn State in University Park, Penn.
