INDIANA HOSTS KENTUCKY IN NCAA FIRST ROUND

Bloomington, Ind. -Indiana University's men's soccer team earned a number two seed (from field of 32) as it begins the quest for a fifth NCAA Championship on Sunday, November 21, vs. the Kentucky Wildcats (13-6-1). Game time is set for 2 p.m. at Bill Armstrong Stadium. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for college students and younger.
During the regular season, IU defeated Kentucky 4-2 on Oct. 20 in Bloomington. The winner of the IU-UK match will play the winner of the Washington-Portland match-up.
Besides Kentucky, two other Indiana regular season opponents share the same bracket with the Hoosiers. Maryland, a seven seed and a 1-0 loser to IU in the season opener, hosts St. John's and Penn State, who has lost twice to IU this year, will host William & Mary. The winner of those two games will play each other.
The number three-ranked Hoosiers are 16-3-0 overall and 5-0-0 in the Big Ten. They recently won their eighth league championship in the nine-year history of Big Ten soccer with a 2-1 overtime win vs. Penn State.
Last season IU defeated Santa Clara 4-0 in the national semifinal and Stanford 3-1 in the NCAA Championship game.
