Game Data: Number two-ranked Indiana (16-3-0, 5-0-0) is the number two seed in the NCAA tournament and will host Kentucky (13-6-1) on Sunday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. in Bill Armstrong Stadium. Kentucky earned the automatic bid for the Mid-American Conference, by defeating Northern Illinois 2-1 in the MAC Championship.

Indiana Head Coach Jerry Yeagley...is in his 27th year at Indiana and is the winningest coach in collegiate soccer history. He has a career record of 473-83-37. Yeagley has led the Hoosiers to NCAA national titles in 1982, 1983, 1988, and 1998, 12 Final Four appearances and seven Big Ten titles.
Yeagley was recently named Big Ten Co-Coach of the Year, sharing the honor with Ohio State's John Bluem.
Indiana vs. Ranked Teams in 1999: Indiana sports a 4-1-0 mark vs. nationally ranked teams. IU defeated #2 Maryland 1-0, lost to #18 Saint Louis 1-0 in overtime, defeated #1 ranked Penn State 4-2, defeated #19 Ohio State 2-1, defeated #5 Penn State 2-1 (ot2).
Hoosiers In the Polls: Indiana is number two in both the Soccer America Top 20 in the final NSCCA/adidas Top 25 poll.
Last Week Recap: Indiana defeated Northwestern 2-0 with Yuri Lavrinenko and Aleksey Korol scoring. IU then defeated Penn State 2-1 in overtime to capture the Big Ten title. Korol scored both goals for IU, both goals were assisted by Matt Fundenberger.
Series Vs. Kentucky: Indiana previously defeated Kentucky this year 4-2 on Oct. 20 in Bloomington. Matt Fundenberger netted three goals to pace the Hoosiers.
IU leads the series 12-1-0 and is 6-1-0 in Bloomington. Kentucky's lone win over Indiana was 1-0 in overtime in Bloomington in 1995. Overall, the Hoosiers have outscored the Wildcats 72 to 9.
Hoosiers' Success In NCAA Tournament:Indiana is 40-3 at home in NCAA tournament games and 50-19 overall. IU last lost in Bloomington in 1995 by a 1-0 score to Butler.
IU has won NCAA Soccer Championships in 1982, 1983, 1988, and 1998 and has appeared in 12 Final Fours including the last two.
Korol Rhymes with Goal: National Player of the Year Candidate Aleksey Korol leads IU with 16 goals and eight assists for 40 points. His eight assists is tied with Ryan Mack for team-high honors.
Korol is now sixth on the IU all-time list with 53 career-goals and his 139 career-points is tied for fourth with Robert Meschbach (1977-80).
Korol was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and selected to All-Big Ten First Team for the fourth straight year. It is the third straight year that an IU soccer player was named Big Ten Player of the Year.

Hoosiers Named All-Big Ten: Aleksey Korol, Yuri Lavrinenko, Matt Fundenberger, and Nick Garcia were named to the All-Big Ten First Team. Senior Dennis Fadeski and sophomore Ryan Mack were named to the All-Big Ten Second Team.
Lavrinenko makes the first-team for the fourth consecutive year, while Garcia is on it for the third time. Fundenberger is All-Big Ten First Team for the first time.
Fundenberger With The Assist: Junior forward Matt Fundenberger leads IU with nine assists. For the year, Fundenberger is second on team with 10 goals for 29 points.
His 25 career goals is the 19th-best mark in IU history. Fundenberger scored his second career hat trick with three goals vs. Kentucky. He previously netted three goals as a freshman in 1997 vs. Rhode Island.
Big Ten Dominance: With a perfect 5-0 mark in Big Ten play this season, it marks the third straight year (fourth overall in nine seasons) that the Hoosiers have completed conference play with an unblemished record.

The Hoosiers have now won the Big Ten Championship eight times out of nine. IU won in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995 (shared with Wisconsin), 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999.
IU is now 21-1-1 in their last 23 Big Ten Conference games. Indiana last lost to a conference opponent during the Big Ten season in 1995, when it dropped a 0-2 decision at Wisconsin. That 1995 Badger squad went on to capture the NCAA Championship. The only tie came against Penn State in 1996 at 1-1. Overall, Indiana is a dominating 39-4-2 in Big Ten games (beginning in 1991).
Hoosier News and Notes: Senior Yuri Lavrinenko is fourth on the team with 18 points (5-8). Sophomore Ryan Mack is fourth on the team with 14 points (3-8). Goalkeepers T.J. Hannig and Doug Warren and rank first and second in the Big Ten. Hannig has a 0.62 gaa, while Warren, a freshman, follows at 0.63 gaa.
FANtastic Attendance: During Indiana's eight-game home schedule this year, 17,325 fans passed through the Bill Armstrong Stadium turnstiles for an average of 2,166 fans per game.
