WOMEN'S GOLF BEGINS SPRING SEASON ARIZONATUCSON, ARIZ. - The Indiana University women's golf team opened the spring season with a disappointing first round in the Arizona Invitational. The Hoosiers fired a round of 315, leaving them in 16th place, 30 strokes behind leader Duke (285).
Individually, senior Erin Carney leads the Hoosiers. Carney opened the tournament with a 74 which put her in 22nd place, eight strokes shy of Grace Park of Arizona State (66).
The 54-hole event will continue Tuesday and Wednesday with 18 holes to be played each day. Tuesday's starting time is 9:00 a.m. while Wednesday's final round will be a shotgun start
