HOOSIERS END TUCSON INVITATIONAL IN 15TH PLACETUCSON, ARIZ. - The Indiana University women's golf team finished the Arizona Invitational in 15th place with a total score of 929 (315-305-309), 65 over par. The University of Arizona was the overall winner posting a team total of 854 (289-284-281), 10 under-par.
Senior Erin Carney was the lead golfer for Indiana. Carney, who is ranked #7 in the nation by GolfWeek, struggled to total of 226 (74-76-76), 10 over-par and 20 strokes behind the winner, Grace Park of Arizona State 206 (66-69-71). Carney wound up tied for 43rd place.
The Hoosiers next travel to Orlando, Florida to compete in the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational, Monday and Tuesday, March 8 and 9, 1999.
