HOOSIERS DROP SIXTH STRAIGHT

Bloomington, Ind.-- The Hoosiers dropped their sixth straight game while helping Iowa to its first win in eight outings Sunday afternoon as the Hawkeyes defeated Indiana 73-69 in Assembly Hall.

Iowa's Amy Herrig led all scorers with 26 points while Cindy Kerns led the Hoosiers with 22 points. Also scoring in double digits for IU were Kay Morgan who had 19 points and Dani Thrush with 16. Thrush also pulled down 10 rebounds and collected five assists and four steals.

As a team, the Hoosiers shot 45 percent from the field while Iowa shot 44 percent.

Indiana will return to action Sunday, Feb. 14, hosting Illinois.
