HOOSIERS WIN AT PURDUE
West Lafayette, Ind. - IU freshman Ann Poosuthasee sealed the Hoosiers' 4-3 victory with a third set victory over Purdue's Laura Avgerinos in No. 6 singles.
IU (6-5, 1-1 Big Ten) and Purdue (4-4, 0-2) entered the last match tied at three. Avgerinos won the first set 6-4 to put IU against the wall, but Poosuthasee rebounded to win the next two sets 6-2, 6-3 and give the Hoosiers the win.
The Hoosiers grabbed the first point of the match by winning two of three matches in doubles play. Then Purdue took three of the first five singles matches to even the score at 3-3 entering the final match.
