19th RANKED HOOSIERS LOSE TO NO. 10 SAN JOSE STATESan Jose, Calif. - Indiana's water polo team dropped a 9-5 decision to No. 10 San Jose State Thursday afternoon at the Aquatics Center.
Despite Deb Simone's goal at the 1:15 mark in the second period the Hoosiers still trailed 4-1 after two periods.
The Spartans scored two goals in the third period and three goals in the fourth period to end the scoring for SJSU. Indiana had goals by Molly Fonner in the third period and by Simone, Kristin Carpenter and Mary Lesniak.
