Simone and Fellerhoff score three goals each to lead the Hoosiers to victory
Bloomington, Ind.--The Indiana Women's Water Polo team defeated the Harvard Crimson for the second straight match, winning by a score of 7-4. The #15 Hoosiers improved their record to 2-5 while the Crimson dropped to 0-2.
Sophomore Deb Simone led the Hoosiers, again, scoring three times for the second straight match. With the score tied at four after three periods, sophomore Kara Fellerhoff scored twice, giving her three for the game.
Coach Barry King was pleased with his team's performance this weekend and said he thinks his players have a found a way to win again.
"These were two hard fought, solid wins," King said. "These give us some momentum going back to California."
King also said that Simone and Fellerhoff were the big difference this weekend.
"Deb's always a threat when she gets her opportunities. That makes us much more dangerous."
"Kara's main contribution was defense. She did a good job of handling (Leslie) Bennett."
