WOMEN'S GOLF TO PLAY IN HAWKEYE INVITATIONAL

Tournament Data: The Indiana University women's golf team will travel to Iowa City, Iowa to participate in the 27th annual Hawkeye Invitational, April 17 and 18, at Finkbine Golf Course. The tournament is a 54-hole event, with 36 holes scheduled for Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m. and 18 holes Sunday starting at 9:00 a.m. Finkbine Golf Course is a par-73, 6,000 yard layout.
The Teams: (9) Arkansas-Little Rock, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Wisconsin.
The Hoosiers: IU is coming off an impressive win at the Indiana Invitational. The Hoosiers fired rounds of 320, 308 and 306 for a total of 904 to slip past Ohio State, for their second consecutive Indiana Invitational title.
At the IU Invite, the Hoosiers had all five competitors finish in the top 25, and an impressive four golfer finish in the top 10. Leading the way was senior Erin Carney. Carney fired a final round of one over-par 75, giving her a three-round total of 233 and leaving her tied for fifth.
Seniors Michelle Hatfield and Jennifer Seger tied for seventh place with scores of 234. Theresa McDermott finished in 10 place, 235, and freshman Tiffany Fisher wound up tied for 19th with a score of 240.
Coach Sam Carmichael will take the same line up to the Hawkeye Invitational.
