Indiana Holds First Intrasquad Scrimmage of Spring
Bloomington, Ind. -- Head coach Cam Cameron's charges participated in their first intrasquad scrimmage of the spring today at the football practice fields adjacent to Memorial Stadium. The scrimmage lasted approximately 45 minutes and was held at the end of practice.
"We're going to look at the tape this weekend but I liked the tempo of [the scrimmage]," said Cameron. "I thought everything was sharp. Now Wally (Adewale Ogunleye) twisted his ankle right away so that tends to put a damper on things but, I think he's going to be o.k. The doctors seem to think he'll be fine. We'll get it checked out tonight."
The team will not practice this weekend but will resume practice on Monday, April 5, at 3:00 p.m. The Second Annual IU Football Women's Clinic will be held at 6:30 on Thursday, April 8, and the IU Red-White Spring Game will be held at Bill Armstrong Stadium on Saturday, April 17. It is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.

On redshirt freshman walk-on Shane Moat who has been playing nose guard: "(Defensive line coach) Ted Daisher really likes what he sees just because of his toughness, and his quickness, and because he's a technician. He's going to be one of those guys who's going to get a little bit bigger and probably have the little things it takes, effort and attitude-wise, to play undersized."
