HOOSIERS FALL TO PURDUE
Bloomington, Indiana -- The Indiana Softball team lost a pair to Purdue at the IU Softball Field Wednesday.
In the first game, the Hoosiers (17-29, 3-10 Big Ten) spotted the Boilermakers (29-18, 9-6 Big Ten) 1 runs in the first four innings of the 11-1 loss.
In game two, IU took a 2-1 lead in the fourth when sophomore Shana Gudgel hit the first homer of her career over the left field fence. Purdue then scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth and added two in the fifth for the 6-2 win.
The Hoosiers play at Minnesota Saturday and Sunday, with a double header the first day and a single game the second day. The games begin at 1 p.m. both days.
