GOLF TEAM FINISHES BIG TEN'S IN 10TH PLACE
MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. - The Indiana University men's golf team finished the 1999 Big Ten Men's Golf Championship in 10th place, firing a four round total of 1173 (296-295-297-285) over the par-71, 6,254 yard Les Bolstad/University of Minnesota Golf Course. The team overall winner was Northwestern, turning in a score of 1131 (284-281-284-282).
Senior Brent Landry was the best finisher for IU. Landry carded rounds of 71, 73, 72, and 71 for a total of three over-par 287 and a share of 12th place. Michael Harris of Michigan 278 (69-70-68-71), and Larry Nuger of Illinois 278 (68-69-71 70), tied of the medalist honor at six under-par.
