Tragedy Strikes Indiana Player

Bloomington, Ind.-The mother of Indiana basketball player Kirk Haston
was killed last night when her house was destroyed by a tornado.
Haston was in Bloomington at the time of accident but left town today to
return home. Indiana head coach Bob Knight also went to Linden, Tenn. to
be with Haston and his family.
"The Indiana basketball program, the athletic department and the university
are all shocked and deeply saddened by Kirk's loss in the events of last
night," Indiana Basketball Sports Information Director Gregg Elkin
said. "Our thought's and prayers go out to Kirk and his family at this
difficult time."
