GOLFERS FINISH 11TH AT WOLVERINE INVITE
Ann Arbor, Mich. -- The Indiana men's golf team shot their best round of the tournament Sunday to finish in 11th place at the Michigan Invitational.
The Hoosiers carded a thrid round score of 297 which gave them a total of 898 for the three rounds.
Brent Landry and Jon Barry turned in the best rounds of the day with 1-over par scores of 72. Steve Wheatcroft shot 73 while Rich Thomas had 80 and Corey Sullivan 84.
Landry was the top IU finisher as he tied for 12th with a score of 218. Wheatcroft was in a tie for 22nd at 221, Barry tied for 57th at 228, Sullivan tied for 89th at 237 and Thomas was in 84th at 241.
Minnesota won the tournament with a 3-under par team score of 849. The
Gophers' James McLean won the inidivudal title with an 11-under par total
if 202.
