INDIANA FOOTBALL TEAM HEADED TO OFF-CAMPUS TRAINING CAMP TONIGHT FORMER UNITED STATES SENATOR BIRCH BAYH ATTENDS TUESDAY'S SECOND PRACTICE
Bloomington, Ind. -- The Indiana University football squad will travel to Marshall, Ind., this evening to begin a five-day stint at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes' camp in this small town in western Indiana. The Hoosiers will be at Marshall until Sunday, August 22, when the teamreturns to Bloomington.
Wednesday's morning practice at Marshall will be the first practice in full pads this fall. Practices at Marshall are closed to fans and media. The Hoosiers held two practices this morning and will conduct another practice today from 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Former United States Senator Birch Bayh attended today's second practice. He is currently an attorney in Washington, D.C.
The following players missed today's practice:
Sophomore tight end Craig Osika (ankle; day-to-day)
Senior running back Frankie Franklin (hamstring strain; day-to-day)
Redshirt freshman linebacker Donnie Buck (ear; expected to miss several weeks)
Senior guard Matt Snyder left today's third practice with back spasms (day-to-day)
Redshirt freshman quarterback Tommy Jones returned to practice today after missing several days of practice to attend the funeral of his cousin.
