WOMEN'S GOLF IN EAST LANSING FOR FOSSUM INVITATIONALTournament Data: This Saturday the women's golf team travels to East Lansing, Michigan to compete in the Mary Fossum Invitational. The tournament is a 54-hole event, with 36 holes being played on Saturday and the remaining 18 on Sunday. Teams will tee-off beginning at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday and 9:30 a.m. with a shotgun start on Sunday. The Fossum Invitational is being hosted by Michigan State at the par 72, 5,860 yard Forest Akers West Course.
The Teams: (18) Cincinnati, Illinois, Illinois State, Indiana, James Madison, Kansas State, Kent, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northern Illinois, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio University, Penn State, Toledo, Western Michigan, Wisconsin.
The Hoosiers: The Hoosiers are coming off of a fifth place finish
at last week's Lady Northern Invitational where they shot a three-day score
of 917 (308-304-305). Senior Theresa McDermott posted the team's best score,
firing a 229 (78-73-78) for an eighth place tie. Senior Sami Montgomery
(83-77-73) and Junior Natalie Tucker (82-77-73) also showed well, both earning
a top-20 finish.
