Hoosiers Fall to Michigan
The Indiana men's track and field team fell to the Michigan 85-78.
Russell Brooks won a pair of events on the men's side as he captured the 60 meters with a season team best time of 6.78 and then came back to win the 200 meters in 21.81. Hassan Reddick was also a double-winner as he won the long jump with a jump of 6.77 (22' 2.5") and captured the triple jump with a team season best jump of 14.61 (47' 11.25").
Mike Minton captured the shot put with a season team best mark of 16.73 (54' 10' 7.5"). Jon Lange also set a new season team best in the high jump with a mark of 2.05 (6' 8.75").
Ryan Huber (400 meters, 2nd, 49.51), Ben Jackson (weight throw, 2nd, 16.45) and Mikko Simos (800 meters, 2nd, 1:55.31) also posted season team best marks in the meet.
"We had a lot of personal bests but we could have picked
up a few more point here and there. There are winners and losers
in track and field and we just need to get use to winning more,"
men's track and field head coach Marshall Goss said.
