Post Season Honors Keep Coming

Four more players from the 1999 NCAA Champion Indiana University men's soccer team were recognized with post season accolades.
Seniors Aleksey Korol and Yuri Lavrinenko, along with junior Nick Garcia, were named to the Soccer America Collegiate MVP team. Pat Noonan was named to the publication's All-Freshmen Team.
Earlier this month Indiana University men's soccer head coach Jerry Yeagley was named the 1999 NSCAA/adidas National Coach of the Year. This is the fifth time that Yeagley has won the award as he also earned the honor in 1976, 1980, 1994 and 1998. No other collegiate head coach has won the award more than once.
The coach of the year announcement came in the wake of Korol being named Soccer America's 1999 national player of the year and by Indiana's dominance of the magazine's all-century collegiate team. Former Hoosiers, Angelo DiBernardo, Armando Betancourt and Ken Snow were named to the all century team.
