U.S. Cross Country Coaches Association Ranks the Hoosier Men Fourth in the Most Recent Great Lakes Regional Poll
In the most recent Great Lakes Regional Poll, the Indiana Hoosiers jumped one spot from fifth to fourth as Eastern Michigan dropped to number five after being defeated at the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday, October 6th by both the Irish and the Indiana Hoosiers. The move is a leap compared to the pre-season ranking of ninth. Teams in the Great Lakes Region are those IU will compete against for NCAA Championship qualification in November as well as the Pre-NCAA meet in Ames this Saturday. The poll was updated on October 9, 2000:
