13 Hoosiers Selected Academic All-Big Ten

Park Ridge, Ill. -- The Big Ten Conference today announced that 13 Indiana University football players have been named to its All-Academic Team. The total was the third highest in the conference and the second highest in school history, trailing only the 1999 team which placed 15 players on the squad.
The following players earned Academic All-Big Ten honors:
Senior center Trevor Abbs, Kendallville, Ind. (3.04 GPA in teacher preparation)
Redshirt Freshman kicker Adam Braucher, Punta Gorda, Fla. (3.49 in management)
Senior wide receiver Tim Capen, Greenfield, Ind. (3.67 in criminal justice)
^Sophomore tackle Enoch DeMar, Indianapolis, Ind. (3.15 in telecommunications)
Sophomore kicker Brett Gaudin, Evansville, Ind. (3.84 in exploratory studies)
* Sophomore safety Joe Gonzalez, Avon Lake, Ohio (3.78 in management)
Sophomore quarterback Gibran Hamdan, North Potomac, Md. (3.04 in management)
Senior safety Greg Jensen, Huntington, Ind. (3.42 in finance)
Sophomore safety Matt Mason, Elburn, Ill. (3.32 in marketing)
Sophomore linebacker Shane Moat, Bloomington, Ind. (3.06 in sport management)
