INDIANA SOFTBALL LOSES TO AUBURN AND NO. 22 SOUTH CAROLINA
TAMPA, Fla. - Indiana's softball team lost two games on Friday to Auburn and No.22 South Carolina at the USF-Gladstones Tournament. Against Auburn, the Hoosiers fought a tough battle before losing 4-3. In their second game versus No. 22 South Carolina, the Hoosiers lost 4-0.
Statistics are unavailable at this time, but will be posted as soon as possible on Saturday, February 26.
"We played really well against Auburn," said assistant coach Donna Bonebrake. "Our defense played very well, but we just couldn't capitalize when we had runners on base.
"Against South Carolina, we let them score two runs in the first inning on a couple of errors. Again, we just didn't move our runners very well. Overall, we are pleased with how we are playing right now."
The Hoosiers will be back in action Saturday, Feb. 26, as they continue
play in the USF-Gladstones Tournament in Tampa, Fla. The Hoosiers will play
Kent State at 4:00 p.m. and No. 9 Michigan at 8:00 p.m. at the USF Softball
Complex.
