SPRING FOOTBALL PRACTICE TO OPEN ON WEDNESDAY
Bloomington, Ind. -- The Indiana University football team will begin spring practice on Wednesday, March 22, at approximately 3:30 p.m. EST on the grass practice fields adjacent to the Mellencamp Pavilion. Most practices will be open to the general public. If you wish to attend practice, please contact the Indiana University football office at (812) 855-9618. Spectators will also be required to register when they arrive at practice.
The Hoosiers will likely return 16 starters in 2000, including leading Heisman Trophy candidate Antwaan Randle El. In 1999, Randle El became the first sophomore in Big Ten Conference history to tally 5,000 career total yards.
Indiana's spring game will be held at 1:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, April 8. The game will be played at Memorial Stadium.
