HOOSIERS TRAVEL TO XAVIER
Game Data
The Hoosiers (10-3) will travel to Xavier to face the Musketeers on Tuesday,
March 7 at 3 p.m.
Competition
Xavier owns a 3-9 mark this season and has dropped its last four games including
a 9-8 decision against Central Michigan on March 4. The Hoosiers are the
second Big Ten foe for Xavier this season as it fell to Michigan 5-0 on
February 27.

Head Coach Bob Morgan
Bob Morgan is in his 17th season at Indiana. He has posted a 620-341-3 record
while with the Hoosiers and owns a career mark of 912-429-5. He currently
ranks in the top ten nationally amongst active Division I coaches in career
winning percentage and in the top 20 in career victories. Furthermore, Morgan
has never suffered a losing season in this is 25th year as a collegiate
head coach.
In Morgan's Words
"We had a good weekend last weekend and we are hoping
to build on it in this midweek game at Xavier. We have been more productive
at the plate as of late and our pitching has continued to be strong."
Looking to Extend the Win Streak
Indiana has won its last seven games. Last year the Hoosiers opened the
season with a seven-game win streak. Indiana posted an 11-game win streak
in 1997.
Swinging a Big Stick
Indiana has collected 81 hits in its last seven games and is hitting .342
during its recent seven-game win streak. The Hoosiers have collected 10
or more hits in each of those wins. Prior to the win streak Indiana had
collected just 53 hits in 203 at bats (.261).
Middle Relief Spells Relief
Over the last 23.1 innings Indiana relief pitchers have allowed just two
runs on 12 hits and have fanned 17 batters.
Berich on a Hot Streak
Senior designated hitter Rich Berich is riding a 10-game hit streak and
is hitting .366 (15-41) over that time span. He has driven in at least one
run in each of his last six games.
