April 3, 2000 WOMEN'S FOOTBALL CLINIC TO BE HELD WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19
Bloomington, Ind. -- The Indiana University football program will host its Third Annual Women's Football Clinic on Wednesday, April 19, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. EST at the Memorial Stadium football complex. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. EST for registration. The clinic is free and for women only.
"We have had a wonderful response to this clinic the past two years," said head coach Cam Cameron. "It is a relaxed and fun evening, however, even if you already have a great understanding of the game of football you are certainly going to learn something new. Also, this will give the women attending the clinic the opportunity to meet our three new assistant coaches."
The clinic will feature three, 40-minute, segments: offense, defense, and athletic training/conditioning. During these individual sessions, women will have the opportunity to learn football strategies and terms from the coaching staff, become educated in the newest strength and conditioning techniques, and tour the Indiana University football facilities. To conclude the evening, head coach Cam Cameron will conduct a "team meeting" in the football auditorium where the women will have the opportunity to meet several IU players. Door prizes will also be awarded.
