Football Newcomers Open Practice

Bloomington, Ind. -- The Indiana University football newcomers opened practice today with a morning session on the football practice fields adjacent to Memorial Stadium. Thirty first-time participants took place in the first of today's two sessions. Two Indiana signees, defensive lineman John Lumpkin of Warren, Ohio, and quarterback Marques Hagans of Hampton, Virginia, are being reviewed by the NCAA Clearinghouse and did not practice.
Indiana will practice for the second time today beginning at 4:30 p.m. EST at Memorial Stadium.
