Indiana Outlines Football Gameday Traffic Guidelines
Bloomington, Ind. -- The Indiana University Athletic Department has announced its gameday traffic guidelines for the 2000 football season. They are as follows:August 31, 2000
1. PLEASE LEAVE EARLY FOR THE GAME.
2. The College-Walnut Exit from Ind. 37 Southbound will be open for Game Day traffic with personnel at selected intersections to control traffic flow and assist with sorting the season parking pass traffic;
3. The Ind. 45/46 Bypass intersection with Ind. 37 will remain available for those patrons who wish to continue using it as their pre-game route, but only one Bypass travel lane exists in each direction for one-half mile before the road returns to a multi-lane highway;
4. Both North Walnut Street (Ind. Bus. 37) and the Ind. 45/46 Bypass E-Z-On will be available for northbound post-game traffic. Again, local police agencies will help manage the traffic flow to expedite your departure;
5. People coming to the game who normally use Ind. 37 from South of Bloomington are encouraged to use the Walnut Street (Ind. Bus. 37) Exit and come through Bloomington to enter the Game Day traffic pattern;
6. Please be considerate of construction workers.
