Bloomington, IN - A special VIP IU Football season ticket promotion will allow business leaders from around the state the opportunity to save approximately 35 percent on season ticket packages. Whether you are a longtime Indiana Football fan or you just want to see some of the nation's top football, this package allows you to see all five games played at Memorial Stadium in 2000.
This new promotional initiative is a joint effort between "Red Hot & IU," Indiana University and the IU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Special "Red Zone" seating is being offered to members of the Indiana business community when they sign up for this special package. These seats are located in a prime viewing section between the end zone and the 20-yard line. They offer ticketholders the opportunity to see great action down in the trenches where the defense digs down for the stop, the offense kicks it into high gear for a score, and the fans are loud and adamant as they cheer on the home team.
Businesses can purchase season ticket packages for only $75 for all five games. Tickets, currently $26 per game, will cost only $15 as part of this special deal. In addition to the special price and seating, businesses purchasing 10 or more packages in the "Red Zone" will receive other VIP benefits.
VIP benefits include 10 free "Red Hot & IU" t-shirts, an invitation to a special football practice session and team cookout, an IU spirit flag, and special mention on the Memorial Stadium video board and public address system as a "Red Zone" sponsor.
Businesses wishing to purchase this special package can call 812-332-3366 to request an order form and information package.
"We are really pleased with the opportunity that this promotional effort provides both the state and Indiana University," said Christopher Simpson, Indiana University Vice President for Public Affairs. "This special package offers businesses from communities around the state to be a part of what we believe will be truly special Indiana Football weekends."
"Red Hot & IU" is a committee formed by several business leaders throughout the Bloomington community. In addition to the ticket program, the committee is planning several activities that will give the area a college football atmosphere as fans drive into Bloomington on football Saturdays.
"Red Hot & IU" was established in order to bring area businesses together with Indiana Football," said Ron Tarsi President of WTTS/WGCL in Bloomington and a member of the steering committee for "Red Hot & IU." "We are truly excited that business leaders would want to share in our excitement for Indiana Football. We believe that this is a huge step to filling Memorial Stadium and helping to make Indiana Football an icon throughout the state."
