August 9, 2000 Football Newcomers to Report on Friday

Bloomington, Ind. -- Indiana University will welcome its football newcomers to campus on Friday, August 11, in anticipation of its nationally televised (ESPN2) season opener vs. North Carolina State on Saturday, September 9. Kickoff is set for 11:10 a.m. EST/12:10 p.m. EDT. The first practice for the newcomers will be held Saturday morning, August 12.

On Tuesday, August 15, Indiana's varsity football players report. Football Media Day 2000 will take place on Wednesday, August 16. Fans are invited to attend the media day festivities which will be held on the field at Memorial Stadium from 1:30-4:00 p.m. EST. That evening, the entire Indiana football team will travel to its training camp facility in Marshall, Ind. The team will return to Bloomington on Sunday, August 27. Indiana University's fall semester begins on Monday, August 28.
