Hoosiers One Stroke Back of the Lead After Day One
W. Springs, Fla. - The women's golf team continued their winning ways as Indiana shot a 307 through 18 holes to put themselves one stroke back of leader Michigan State at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational.
All five Hoosiers competing for team scores finished in the top 20 golfers. Senior Natalie Tucker leads Indiana at one over par with a 73. Tucker is in third place among the individual golfers, a stroke behind Martina Gillen of Kent State and Stacy Snider of Michigan State.
Senior Inga Snyder finished tied for 11th with her score of 77. Redshirt freshman Danah Ford tied for 13th with a 78 and junior Tiffany Fisher shot a 79 for a share of 17th place. Freshman Ambry Bishop is also in a tie for 17th place with a 79 on the afternoon.
The top four scores count towards the team standings.
Sophomore Adrienne Graessle competed as an individual for the Hoosiers, shooting a 92 on the afternoon and a tie for 81st place.
