Hoosiers Finish second in Rain Shortened Tourney
W. Springs, Fla. - Due to inclement weather, the second round of the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational was cancelled Tuesday and will not be rescheduled. Since the second round will not be completed, the tournament final will be based on Monday's first-round 18 hole scores, leaving the Hoosier women with a 307 - just one stroke back of tournament winner Michigan State.
All five Hoosier competing for team scores finished amongst the top 20 golfers. Senior Natalie Tucker led Indiana with a one over par 73, placing her third among individual golfers and a stroke behind Martina Gillen of Kent State and Stacy Snider of Michigan State.
Senior Inga Snyder finished tied for 11th with her score of 77. Redshirt freshman Danah Ford tied for 13th with a 78 and junior Tiffany Fisher shot a 79 for a share of 17th place. Freshman Ambry Bishop also tie for 17th place with a 79 on the afternoon.
The top four scores counted towards the teams standings total.
Sophomore Adrienne Graessle competed as an individual for the Hoosiers, shooting a 92 on the afternoon and a tie for 81st place.
