Senior Named Big Ten Golfer of the Week
Bloomington, Ind. - Senior Natalie Tucker shot a final round of 72 on Tuesday and then won a playoff to take the individual title at the San Antonio Shootout this past week. She was rewarded for her efforts by being honored as Big Ten Golfer of the Week. Tucker finished the two-round tournament with a 146, helping the Hoosiers to the team crown in the field of 11.
Tucker has been the Hoosier strength all season, finishing out of the top 10 individual golfers in only one tournament in 2000-2001. Of the seven competitions, Tucker has finished among the top three golfers in five. Through 16 rounds this season, Tucker is averaging a 73.4. Her spring season highlights include third place finishes at the GTE "Mo" morial and the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational, and the individual crown at the San Antonio Shootout.
