Indiana Women's Golf in Fourth Place Following First Two Rounds
Columbus, Ohio - In the final regular season tournament, the Indiana women's golf team shot a solid 617 over the first 54 holes of the Buckeye Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Leader Michigan State pulled out with a strong advantage shooting a 606 to hold a nine stroke lead on second place teams Ohio State and Northwestern.
Senior Natalie Tucker is paving the way for the Hoosiers in fourth place among the individual golfers with a 151 (76, 75). Freshman Karen Dennison is showing signs of another impressive tournament as she is tied for sixth place with a two-round total 153 (74, 79). Also among the top ten individual golfers for Indiana, senior Inga Snyder is tied for tenth place with a score of 154 (77,77). The final score to count towards the team competition is a 161 shot by redshirt freshman Cara Stuckey. Stuckey is tied for 34th place.
Indiana will look to cut into the Michigan State lead tomorrow in the final 18 holes. The final round is set to begin at 8:30 with a shotgun start.
