Hoosier Women Drop to 17th Place
Corvallis, Ore. - The Indiana women's golf team finds itself in 17th place after 36 holes of golf at NCAA Regional competition in Corvallis, Oregon. The Hoosiers shot a 311 over the second 18 holes to finish with a two-round total 625. Arizona remains the leader of the pack with a 579 after completing two days of competition.
Freshman Karen Dennison leads all Hoosiers with a 151 (77, 74) and a share of 20th place. Redshirt freshman Danah Ford rebounded from a tough round one to shoot a 76 on day two and finish with a 158. Ford is tied for 59th place. Senior Inga Snyder and junior Tiffany Fisher are tied for 69th place after shooting for a total of 160 with 18 holes remaining. Senior Natalie Tucker struggled in the second round, shooting an 83 on the day for a 161 overall and a share of 76th place.
To advance in NCAA competition, the Hoosiers need to be one of the top eight finishers. Indiana is 17 strokes back of eighth place Tennessee. The final round of play will take place tomorrow beginning at 7:30 a.m. PDT.
