Hoosiers Fall At All-American Championships

Bloomington, Ind. - Indiana women's tennis players Linda Tran and Karie Schlukebir lost their first round match at the Riviera ITA All-American Doubles Championship in Pacific Palisades, Calif., today.

The duo, ranked 13th in the nation in the latest ITA poll, fell to the nation's top-ranked team, Vanderbilt's Sarah Riske and Aleke Tsoubanos, by a score of 8-3.

Schlukebir and Tran, who were the national runners-up at the ITA Summer All-American Championships in August, will compete against Duke's Julie DeRoo and Amanda Johnson in the consolation bracket tomorrow. DeRoo and Johnson are ranked 18th in the ITA Poll.
